Have you ever been in a conversation with someone and they are trying to tell you how to do something? The first thing you want to say to them even before they finish is, i already know!!! i think we have all had moments like that. Sometimes though i think that we have to sit back and just let direction be given to us. At times there will be things that we do already know but then what if that thing that we already know how to do can be done a different way. you never really know until you try. i remeber my mother always saying "if you already no how then you must know all the ways how". i never really thought anything of it because it was always one of those things that just required a ok to get her to stop talking. Now, as i sit back and think about that statement i have realized sometimes its not all about what you know how to do it is sometimes just about the principle of trying it a new way. what if it is a easier way a faster way or even a way in which someone else can do that thing for us(if its something we are trying to get out of doing). Just sit and listen because in reality we just dont know it all and even the simpliest things can be learned in in different ways.
Before i sat down to write this i was listening to Fantasia's song called "Even Angels" which inspried this blog! She says even angels learned how to fly. just hearing the word "angel' we automatically relate it to this heavenly thing in pretty glowing lights elevated in the air. well if you think about it the werent just placed in the air they too had to get their wings and learn how to use them, just like us as humans we didnt come out the womb knowing how to walk! we had to learn and we all learned different ways to get up become stable on our feet and try again a new way if it didnt work and we fell the first time. so today i challenge yo u to just relax dont be quick to say something and learn something in a different way because in reality EVEN ANGELS LEARNED HOW TO FLY!!

The Bigger Picture....
Say Cheese!! Click!!
Kodak moments are so special no matter what the outcome of the picture. Never mind the memories and what the picture means, the point is just to capture the moment as it happens and thats it. Right? Wrong!! The whole purpose of a picture is to keep hold of the memory of that particular time. Without a physical memory of the past what would we have to look back on and be thankful for from where we came from. every picture is not perfect either, some well alot of pictures have flaws but the point of the flaw is to be recognized and improved.
Its always a good feeling to stumble across pictures of when i was younger and look at them as success stories. There doesnt always have to be a problem to lead to a solution for you to have a success story. Just the fact that i am able to stumble across pictures of myself in the third grade getting a moving up diploma or pictures of getting ready for 8th grade prom or even pictures of the first day of high school, it proves that im on my way somewhere. My dad always takes pictures. He even took pictures of me walking out of my dorm hall in COLLEGE when he came to surprise me for breakfast. you would think like i thought "come on are you serious" "im 18 years old this isn't stepping stones in kindergarden". But when i think about it although it was just the other day that this happen, ive made it to today. and if i go back and look at that picture now, a few days later, i can go back and look at the picture 3 years later and say wow that was me then but look at me now!!
Next time you take a picture think about not only getting the perfect shot but also capturing the perfect memory and make sure you appreciate the times that you digitally document. And remember the small physical picture is a great souvenir but the significance it holds is THE BIGGER PICTURE!!

Excuses Don't Change Outcome
Excuses, excuses, excuses. i always remeber my mom telling me Say, excuses are only used by people who are afraid to admit they are wrong and dont have an answer. Was she right? at the moment i didnt know but now as i grow up i start to realize that she made a very valid point. certain things are done or said to conclude a situation you can not handle therefore relieving the stress of going through it. if you were to ask yourself why did you handle it the way you did or why you said the things you said, sometimes you may find yourself excusing your actions. in your mind it then all becomes better, it sounds better, it looks better and you in some way feel better. in actuality whatever the negative outcome of the situation was will not be changed by the excuses you are telling yourself. why is it that we as a people feel the need to have that much pride that we cant admit to our wrongs and always have to find a way to excuse them. nothing is ever our fault and we tend not to take responsiblilty for the things we do wrong. the excuse is always well i tried or i did this part but he or she did the other and that is where it went wrong. instead of trying to fix a situation we always look down upon it and tend to use invalid reasons to validate the mistake.
i challenge each and every one of you (myself included) to reevaluate yourself and think before you are quick to excuse something. sometimes it is just a matter of recognizing that you are wrong and brainstorming on how the situation can be fixed!!
Whether you take this challenge or not just know that what ever decision you make in any situation you must own up to it and take responsiblity for it whether it is right or wrong but just remember EXCUSES DONT CHANGE OUTCOME!
